Of course! There are some fake numbing creams that can cause issues however so please only buy over the counter (chemists) or from the official TKTX website. Numbing cream can affect your tattoo and healing so it's important that you get the correct one and do a patch test before hand.

If you have particular allergies or medical conditions please make us aware. We have a medical consent form that you are required to complete before your tattoo but if there is anything that you're unsure of, please just ask!

Comfy clothes are essential - especially if you're getting tattooed all day. Wear clothing that correlates with the area of your tattoo. You're welcome to bring a spare change of clothes if you prefer.

You may get ink on your clothes depending on the area, so dark colours (or that old T Shirt lying around) are always best.

You're more than welcome to bring a blanket, snacks, your headphones etc - whatever will make your experience more comfortable for you. If you wish to bring a person along for your appointment, please let us know beforehand.

Absolutely! Our studio manager, Joci, will go and grab lunch for everybody at around 1pm so you'll have the chance to eat and have a hot drink etc. If you need to take breaks in between too, that's fine - just let your artist know.

We take bank transfer, PayPal or cash. We do not have a card machine! Your deposit will come off the total that you'll pay on the day.

No we don't, we are a tattoo studio only.

Yes! We can do digital or physical vouchers. There's a minimum of £10 but no maximum! They are valid for a year and you can get them for a particular artist or the studio as a whole.

Of course! We are open on Saturdays, these slots can fill up fast so make sure to book in advance. If you need an evening, let us know and we will try our best to accommodate you.

  • If you give less than 2 weeks' notice, your deposit will be lost and a new one will be required to rebook.
  • If you cancel entirely, your deposit will also be lost.
  • You can reschedule up to twice (with sufficient notice).

Important points of note

  • The Tattooing of Minors Act 1969 makes it illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to get a tattoo. Parental consent is not accepted. Therefore proof of age is required in the form of any picture ID such as student card or driving licence.
  • We do not tattoo hands, neck or faces unless you have a substantial amount of coverage already.
  • We do not cater for children, this is a strictly 'no under 18's' environment, so no children are allowed in the studio.

Before a Tattoo

  • Make sure you are well rested and have had something to eat.
  • No alcohol the night before, it thins your blood and you will bleed more.
  • Make sure that the area you're getting tattooed isn't sunburnt, we cannot tattoo over burnt skin.
  • We recommend to have no fake tan before a tattoo and no fake tan (spray tans, at home tans, sun beds) during the healing process.

Tattoo Aftercare

  • Your artist will talk to you about aftercare and we have cards that you can take home with you after your session.
  • After the initial - going home, removing the cling film and cleaning the tattoo on the first day, you should moisturise your tattoo with Palmers Cocoa Butter. The unfragranced one is best - but the classic is fine too.
  • You may get scabbing and a silvery look to your tattoo, this is completely normal!
  • If there is heavier scabbing, the area may have a wet look. If this happens, don't moisturise that area and let it run it's course and dry out.
  • Avoid baths, swimming (natural or chlorinated) and keep it out of direct sunlight.
  • The healing process can be anywhere from 2-4 weeks.
